LAMORESCA ROSSO

Variety: Nero d'Avola, Frappato, Grenache

“Lamoresca Rosso is crafted by blending two grape varieties, Nero d'Avola and Frappato, both typical of our region near the Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG area. It was our first wine and a perfect marriage of these varietals. Nero d'Avola contributes sharp tannins and a robust body, harmonized by the Frappato's easy, red cherry fruitiness. The blend evolves each year, influenced by the vintage, quality, and our preferences.”

Classification: IGP Terre Siciliane Rosso

Altitude: 430 above sea level

​

Soil: clay soil and sand

​

System of planting: vertical trellis system and bush-vine

​

Plant density: 4500 plants per hectare trellis system, and 7000 plants bush-vine

​

Harvest: manual, starting from the last week of September until mid of  October

​

Fermentation: With indigenous yeasts, maceration of max. 30 days on the skin

​

Aging: max. 12 months in oak truncated cone barrels
